Our client is seeking to employ a Productivity focused dairy farming couple to join them in their goal of operating an profitable Queensland Dairy Farm.

 

The on-farm Dairy Couple consists of two positions, of which the Production Manager will be the overall 2IC  and the other is an experienced farm hand. Duties of the second person may include milking, calf rearing, data entry or machinery operator and are flexible around family requirements.

 

The 2IC position reports directly to the hands-on Owners/Farm Manager, who live a short drive away from the farm. The role requires the 2IC to oversee the milking and fodder production, crops and irrigation, machinery maintenance, fencing and with opportunity to assist with AI and breeding.   As a Dairy Couple, you would be required to function as part of the dairy team and supervise staff.

 

On offer is a position within a team currently milking 320+ cow on a 50 unit rotary configuration. Computerized ID system and drafting and cup removers, this herd operation has a large covered feed pad and grows out its to be joined young stock off farm.

 

The farm is on a creek, in the hinterland of the Sunshine Coast, Queensland and only around 45 minutes drive from Noosa and other beautiful beaches and shopping & airport at Maroochydore.

We are looking for a couple that have experience in all facets of dairy farming including:-
