The successful applicant will work under the direction of the Manager on the day to day running of the operation.  This role requires someone with a positive and progressive attitude.  You must also have a willingness to adopt new technologies and to take responsibility. 

You will therefore ideally have:-

  • Proven herd management/herd health/stock working skills and pasture management history

Farm Description

Duties will include, but not limited to

  • Assisting with milk harvesting
  • Maintaining milk quality and assurance

  • Assisting with calving duties
  • Machinery operation and maintenance
  • Monitoring of procedures and functions

Casual Part-Time Milking / Farm Hand Position

A position has become available for an experienced, efficient and reliable Part-Time Milker / Farm Hand on our client’s 130 cow dairy operation situated at Undera in Northern Victoria (ideally situated only 10 mins to Kyabram / Tatura / Mooroopna - 20 mins Shepparton). 


Specific Skill Set Required: -

  • The successful applicant must have previous experience in the dairy industry whom enjoys working with cows and outdoors.
  • You will have excellent skills and knowledge with milk harvesting, herd health, animal husbandry and mastitis detection / treatments.
  • Attention to detail / Ability and Competency are all essential qualities with this position
  • Must be able to operate a tractor (to feed out hay into hay rings)


Responsibilities /Duties: -

  • This position will involve a permanent milking schedule - Tuesday night / Wednesday morning
  • Flexible monthly roster offered – including additional weekday & alternate weekends
  • The dairy is a herringbone, 10 a-side double up.
  • Milking / herd health / mastitis control / record keeping
  • Feeding Calves
  • Feeding out hay into hay rings – Tractor operation


A current driver's licence is essential with own reliable transport required.

General Dairy Farm Hand

The successful applicant will be self-motivated and punctual who demonstrates a willingness to keep on learning in a fast paced team environment.  Exerience is not necessary, but a desire and willingness to learn is most essential.


You will work a 5 day-a week roster system in an environment with a strong emphasis on work / life balance - with an opportunity to grow within the company.

A position has become available for General Dairy Farm Assistant (FLH3) to join our client’s large scale progressive dairy farming enterprise located at Blighty in the Southern Riverina district of New South Wales (20 mins to Finley – 20 mins to CBD of Deniliquin, both towns offering schooling, sporting, shopping and all modern facilities).


The position on offer would suit someone with ‘entry level skill set’ - who is passionate about the dairy and agricultural industry and wishing to pursue a long-term career in the dairy sector.  Previous experience of at least 6-12 months in the industry would be an advantage, however, is not essential and you must enjoy working with animals and outdoors.


Employment Specifics

You will work under the direction of the Farm Manager and along with other staff and therefore a willingness to work and learn in a team environment is most essential.  You will ideally:-

  • Be punctual, reliable and honest – these are a MUST
  • Use initiative / right attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work / milk in a safe manner with attention to detail
  • Must be able to work under precise instruction / follow tasks as allocated
