An opportunity has become available for an experienced and self-motivated Dairy Operator on our client’s large scale dairy enterprise which is ideally located at Scotts Flat, Singleton in the Hunter Valley of New South Wales (10km’s to major township which offers excellent facilities – school bus at front gate - 1 hour to Newcastle).

The farm consists of 400ha which is irrigated. Dairy is 24 aside rapid exit herringbone – milking 400 cows – Feed pad.

Employment Specifics

The successful applicant must have a genuine interest in the dairy industry who enjoys working with animals and also outdoors.  Experience with milk harvesting is a must.  You will work under the direction of the owners and must be honest, reliable, efficient and self-motivated.  You will ideally have the following:-

• Experience in animal health / husbandry
• AI experience an advantage, but not essential
• Experience with tractor & machinery operation
• Excellent work ethics, good communication skills with attention to detail
• Be able to work in a strong team environment as well as independently
• General farming knowledge

Duties will include, but not limited to

• Milk harvesting
• Herd health / mastitis control / treatments
• AI / reproduction programs
• Assisting with Irrigation
• Mixing feed / feeding out to milking herd / springers
• General farm and maintenance work

A family owned and operated dairy farm at Undera in Northern Victoria is seeking to employ a reliable, efficient and self-motivated Senior Dairy Operator for their 300 cow herd (30 mins to City of Shepparton).

Employment Specifics

As you will be working under the direction of the owner, the successful applicant must have the following:-

• Genuine interest in the dairy industry who enjoys working with cows and outdoors
• Ability to work with owner as well as independently
• Sound knowledge and skills in herd health and nutrition
• Self-starter who is highly motivated, efficient and committed
• Excellent work and communication skills – attention to detail
• Ability to operate tractors / machinery / mixer wagon

Duties will include

• Assisting with daily milk harvesting – 40 unit herringbone dairy
• Management of Herd Health / Nutrition / Record Keeping
• Maintaining Milk Quality and Assurance
• Assisting with calving down cows
• Calf & heifer rearing
• Droving of milking herd / stock work
• Feeding stock – use of mixer wagon
• General farming and maintenance duties

An opportunity exists for a Senior Milker on our client’s large scale dairy enterprise situated at Echuca in Northern Victoria (10km’s to township).

The successful applicant MUST have large herd experience with at least 1-2 years experience.  Be honest, reliable and self-motivated with a progressive attitude.  You must also show initiative and direction to run the milking shift and be able to work in a strong team environment.  Excellent knowledge of animal health and herd management who enjoys working with livestock is most essential.

The farm is predominately pasture based with partial TMR and is currently milking 1000 cows.  There is a 60 unit rotary dairy with auto cup removers.

Duties will include, but not limited to:-

• Assisting with milk harvesting (rostered shift)
• Management of animal health/husbandry/treatments
• Herd health records
• Observation skills (post-calving health)
• Maintaining milk quality
• General dairy clean-up and maintenance
