The Role


Our client is a progressive family owned and well diversified Agribusiness Entity with a large -scale dairy operation located on the Manilla River close to the local historic township of Manilla, NSW.  

As Dairy Farm Manager you will be primarily responsible for coordinating and implementing all day to day operations of a 1,000 head dairy and pivot irrigated fodder cropping enterprise with plans for expansion. 

We are seeking a well organised Dairy Farm Manager who is experienced in managing fodder cropping, prioritises animal health whilst maintaining quality milk production, with the ability to lead by example and motivate staff to reach their full potential. 





-   Manage day to day operations across all aspects of the dairy farm
-   Ensure high animal husbandry practices are maintained across all livestock
-   Ensure staff are carefully selected and trained correctly to fulfil their duties
-   Manage milk harvesting, milk quality and staff rosters 
-   Coordinate servicing and maintenance of farm plant and equipment 
-   Maintain up-to-date accurate documentation and record keeping
-   Ensure the farm operates in accordance with approved industry standards

     and WH&S practices and protocols 
-   Report directly to Business Owner





To be successful in this role, candidates must have the following skill set:-

-   Proven experience within a similar role in the Dairy Industry 
-   Excellent knowledge & skills in herd health and animal welfare practices
-   Strong relationship management skills with the ability to lead by example

     and motivate staff to reach their full potential 
-   Ability to maintain accurate records and plan effectively
-   Ability to show initiative and improve operations
