The Position
Simpson Dairies is a family owned and progressive large scale dairy farming enterprise, located in the South West of Victoria, with current opportunities becoming available on two of their three dairy farms.
Ideally located near Simpson / Cooriemungle and also to Warrnambool or Colac which offer excellent schooling, shopping and all modern facilities. The Great Ocean Road is also within a 10 min drive with stunning coastal views and beaches providing for a work/life balance with outdoor leisure activities on offer.
The dairy farms are pasture based, milking upwards to 800 cows at Cooriemungle and increasing numbers at Simpson to 700 this season. Both farms have modern well-presented dairies being 50 and 60 bale rotary sheds.
The positions on offer would suit persons with a ‘high level skill set’ – who are passionate about the dairy industry being reliable, committed and self-motivated. Experience is preferred, however, training, guidance and support will be offered to the right candidates. The desire to be part of a great team supported by the existing Farm Management will ensure you have the resources to succeed in what is considered a unique farming location.

About the Position
An excellent opportunity has become available for a suitably qualified and professional “working” Dairy Farm Manager and/or Couple on our client’s 300 cow dairy farming operation ideally located at Lancaster in Northern Victoria (5 mins - Kyabram township which offers excellent schooling, shopping and all modern facilities. School bus route servicing all schools including Shepparton on bitumen road).
This well-established dairy farm consisting of some 400 acres is predominately pasture based with partial TMR - split calving system. There is a 26 swing over herringbone dairy with ACR’s. The farm is well laid out and fully irrigated with the owner having permanent water available. Replacement heifers are reared on a nearby out-block.
Our client is looking for an experienced and competent person or couple to manage the day to day operations of the farming enterprise. Experience in all facets of dairy farming operations together with proven herd management history is essential.

About the Position
An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced, highly skilled and self-motivated Dairy Farming Couple or Team to join our client’s progressive large scale dairy farming entity located near Forbes in Central New South Wales. Only a 15 minute drive to Forbes CBD which offers excellent modern facilities, including schools / medical / shopping and all sporting & leisure activities.
This well-established diversified farming operation consists of 1400ha expanding over 3 farms. The major enterprise is Dairy, with breeding ewes, Angus cattle and dry land cropping also being incorporated in the business.
The main Dairy block is located west of Forbes on the Lachlan River with 240ha of irrigation including flood & travelling irrigation. The dairy shed is a 42 stand rotary with both pasture and TMR feeding programs implemented.
Key Specifics – to be considered for the role
Reporting directly to the Farm Owner, the role requires you to assist with the day to day running of the dairy, milk harvesting, herd health, feeding cows and caring for dry stock and young calves.
Working as team members, you will be required to function as part of the dairy team, but also independently at times with a willingness to ensure all quality targets are met and adhered to.
