Job Description


Our client is seeking to employ self-motivated, enthusiastic and reliable full-time Milking Team Members for their 1,000 cow dairy farming enterprise located at Undera, Northern Victoria (26km’s Shepparton – 50km’s Echuca).


This modern entity which consists of 1,500 acres – 50 unit rotary shed – 1,200 cow feed barn is currently milking 1,000 cows with plans for progression in the near future.


Employment Specifics


The successful applicant will work under the direction of the Herd Manager.  Good sound knowledge and skills in milk harvesting is preferred, however, training, guidance and support will be offered to the right applicant.  You will ideally have:-

  • Milk harvesting knowledge & skills
  • Excellent knowledge of herd health / mastitis control / treatments
  • Excellent work ethics with good communication skills
  • Ability to work in a strong team environment as well as unsupervised
  • A current driver’s licence is required as well as reliable transport.

Duties will include, but not limited to

  • Assisting with milking of herd – 50 unit rotary shed
  • Maintain milk quality and assurance
  • Maintain dairy hygiene protocols
  • Assisting with herd health, mastitis control, treatments & vaccinations
  • Droving of stock and associated stock work
  • General dairy clean-up and maintenance work
