Our client is currently seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Senior Dairy Farm Worker to join their team on their large scale 1,300 cow dairy operation(consisting of 2 dairy farms) located only 10 minutes North of the City of Shepparton. (8km’s to township & school – 10 minutes to major city of Shepparton).


Employment Specifics


The successful applicant must have a genuine interest in the dairy industry and enjoy the daily farm operations with the key tasks being stock management and feeding, tractor operation and ocassional milkings.  You will have the ability to work as a team member, but also independently at most times. High standards of work and animal welfare must be targeted through attention to detail. The applicant should:


  • Excellent knowledge of animal health & welfare standards
  • must be highly skilled and self-motivated with a progressive attitude
  • demonstrate exceptional organisational skills / have the ability to work independently
  • proficient use of tractors / machinery  / mechanical aptitude


Role Responsibility to include

  • Daily milk harvesting
  • Maintain milk quality and assurance
  • Stock management / feeding duties / vaccinations and herd health programs
  • Operation of tractor & machinery / hay & silage making / irrigation duties
  • Maintenance & mechanical work / fencing / general farming practices
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy dairy & surrounds at all times
  • Adhere to and embrace on-farm protocols and safety practices, milk quality procedures and mastitis management.
